Christchurch to Methven
Leaving Christchurch at 4:30 pm we travel a short distance to the picturesque village of Methven, a snow sports magnet during the winter months as it sits in the shadow of New Zealand's best ski resort, Mt Hutt! Today is all about getting there, settling in, getting to know one another and enjoying a few laughs and a good sleep in preparation for a day on the slopes. (D)
Methven to Lake Tekapo
Rise and shine! Today’s the day to dust off your ski gear and hit the slopes. This field offers breath-taking views along the Southern Alps and across the Canterbury Plains to the Pacific Ocean. As Mt Hutt has been voted New Zealand’s best ski resort three years running (2015, 2016, 2017), we've included return mountain transfers and a full day lift pass, so you enjoy one of the largest and highest ski areas in the South Island. If you would rather start your holiday at a slower pace, spend the day exploring the quaint township of Methven, relax with a massage or go on an optional Lord of the Rings tour. Late afternoon we make our way to the scenic township of Lake Tekapo. Next door to our perfectly located accommodation is the winter wonderland of Tekapo Springs where soaking in the Hot Pools is an ideal way to end the day. Relax, and take in the stunning night sky this magical part of the country offers being the world’s largest International Dark Sky Reserve. This is one of the best places in the world for stargazing! Lake Tekapo to Mt Cook
Today we take you up close to New Zealand’s highest peak Aoraki/Mt Cook. On arrival into the Mt Cook village tour the world-class Information Centre featuring interactive exhibits, mountain artwork along with stories and memorabilia of NZ's brave mountaineers. A must see to truly appreciate the majestic, beautiful and remote area we are here to explore. Hike to the Tasman Glacier with plenty of photo opportunities or see Tasman Valley on an optional 4WD and Argo tour. Tonight, our accommodation is located in the shadow of Mount Cook, relax and enjoy as we share stories and a few laughs around the fire. (B and D)

Mt Cook to Ohau
Ski Day!! And not skiing on just any old ski field, this is where the US Ski team train, in fact, we consider this field so good we’ve included return mountain transfers and a full day lift pass for your day in the snow at Ohau! This well-known family run field is a locals favorite and is suitable for all abilities. Getting away from the bustling popularity of the commercial fields means fewer people and more room to weave your way down the mountain. If you don't feel like skiing just relax at the lodge or explore the remote and beautiful surrounding area by foot or cycle. After a day of adventure, a comfortable lodge setting awaits complete with an open fire, a hot meal, and stunning lake views. (B and D)
Ohau to Queenstown
Today we travel the dramatic Lindis Pass linking the MacKenzie Basin with Central Otago. Prepare to be wowed as we travel through this alpine area of tall tussock covered mountains and roadside snow. Arriving by midday into the ‘Adventure Capital of the World’ - Queenstown we stay in centrally located accommodation that's ideal for enjoying all on offer such as bungy jumping, skydiving, scenic lake cruises or take to the mountains skiing and snowboarding just to name a few! This town has a buzzing vibe with something for everyone along with great hikes and cycle options. (B)

The final day of the tour where we say our sad farewells by 2 pm and your last chance to soak up this scenic lakeside town. Jump off a bridge or create tracks down the mountain. If you would like to explore further afield we recommend a day trip to the stunning Milford Sound for a scenic boat cruise. Get amongst it and enjoy! If you would like to stay in Queenstown another night, talk to us about accommodation options or even better extend your tour an extra few days and travel with us back to Christchurch! (B)
