Here at Real Kiwi Adventures, our overland New Zealand tours are camping adventures.

This style of small group tour also has an emphasis on cycling, with time allocated most days to walking, hiking and to ride a bike (you can hire a bike or bring your own)

On our overland New Zealand tours you will stay in tents and cabins each night. The two-person tents are set up by you, the tour members each night. When camping in tents you can relax and be 'at one' with the New Zealand nature and enjoying everything this breathtaking country has to show you.

These tours camp in some of the best locations New Zealand has to offer, beside rivers, beaches, and lakes on these tours. From Auckland to Queenstown, from Wellington to Wanaka there is beauty to be found at every location we visit on tour.

Single travelers will be paired in a tent with a person of the same sex or can upgrade to their own tent. Cabin upgrades are available most nights for a small fee, payable on the day. When staying in more remote and picturesque campsites upgrades are not available but alternatives will be found in the event of inclement weather.

These trips attract a nice mix of travelers from all over the world. A great mix of ages also, with the more adventurous seasoned traveler enjoying these tours. You will make lots of new friends as we cater for solo travelers on these New Zealand Tours. We also have couples and small groups of friends traveling on tour. These tours are all inclusive with food. Meals are included where indicated as B, L, and D for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. So we can keep these trips at a great value and with good group dynamics, we ask everyone to get involved with cooking and the washing up.

Camping is super popular in New Zealand during summer due to the mild weather and beauty of the outdoors. The country is well set up for our campers, with toilets and showers, BBQ's and plenty of off the beaten track areas to pitch our tents away from the crowds. We travel on the bus with all equipment for camping so all you need to bring is a sleeping bag and sense of adventure.
