Fitness: Can I do this hop on hop off pass?

Customers should have a reasonable level of fitness for most of the tours and activities. The areas in which we operate vary greatly in terrain and weather conditions. Travellers may be required to undertake walking experiences up to 4 hours in duration sometimes in challenging conditions. Please be aware that depending on which region the tour is visiting you could encounter extremes of heat ( 30C+) or cold (-5C).

By law it is required that customers advise Real Kiwi Adventures or our travel partners in New Zealand of any pre-existing medical conditions &/or Dietary conditions before they join the tour. Most tour operators provide a good range of food to cater for different cultural and personal tastes however travellers are requested to contact us on: [email protected] in relation to all medical or dietary issues.

You will also be asked at time of each tour commencement to sign a liability waiver to ensure you agree to participate in our activities.

Auckland to Paihia

Depart Auckland from 7.00am onwards. Today we head north to the stunning Bay of Islands. On the way you’ll learn about the rich local European and Maori history. We stop en-route for a chance to swim at scenic Waipu Cove before cruising up to Paihia for a relaxing afternoon in the stunning Bay.

Stray's accommodation for this evening: Hostel near the beach.
Optional paid activities:Catch the ferry across to historic Russell (New Zealand’s former capital), skydiving, Hole in the Rock, diving.
Free activities: Snorkeling at Goat Island (summer only), tree hugging huge kauri trees at Parry Kauri Forest (wet weather/winter option).

Paihia to Auckland

Enjoy a sleep in and morning at leisure. Sail or cruise around the Bay, walk to nearby Haruru Falls or just kick back and relax on the beach. We leave mid-afternoon on the mighty orange bus destined for the bright lights of Auckland.

Optional paid activities:Sailing, swimming with dolphins, kayaking, fishing.
Free activities: Walk around Paihia or Haruru Falls; go for a swim or relax on the beach.
